Hello here is my little pincushion inspired bear dressed in a reversible outfit made from vintage Irish linen and hand dyed silk, lace and teeny silk yoyo flowers.I have decided to call her Winsome Kindness. Last week I met a lady at the opticians where I work and I just swooned when I asked her name and she replied "Winsome" I think it's so beautiful! Later on the same day a gentleman called Mr Kindness arrived for an appointment! I kid you not! So what else could I call my new bear ??
I can't seem to post any more pics, I'm sure there must be an easier way to do this but I can't see how. Must be doing something wrong.I'm tired so I'll put them in another post, really must go to bed now. Ta ta.

Just a quick update on the pics of the new bear in her outfit. Well the outfit is now finished and I am pleased with how it's turned out however we've had a thunder storm here in the Northwest so it's way too dark to get any good pictures now so I'll be posting them at a later date. The days are getting shorter now and I know that my getting home from work at 7pm will probably scupper any photo opportunity and mornings are one mad dash for me, oh well never mind!

Today I am working on an outfit for a little girl bear. I like to gather all my inspiration 'ingredients' just like I would when following a recipe for a delicious cake!
When I was at college studying for a City and Guilds in dress making we learnt the importance of mood boards and I like to think that this is a mini version of doing just that. The pin cushion is one that I made for myself when I wanted to pretty up my sewing kit, I'm drawing my inspiration from that and tomorrow I hope to show you what I come up with, so pop back and see what takes shape!
